A simplifed method for bearing resistance prediction and analysis of energy piles

This abstract has open access
Abstract Summary
The framework was created by expanding conventional techniques for determining the pile's ultimate bearing capacity in temperature-dependent conditions. Thermally induced changes in the properties of the soil and soil-pile interface are taken into account. This study contributes to the widespread use of this emerging technology in practice by providing a simple and effective estimation method, which is an essential component of thermomechanical soil-structure interaction analyses required to design energy piles
